A reader emailed me a link to his blog. He appears to be an opinionated programmer, a rare thing on the internet. A lot of his writings on the front page are, as my reader noted, the sort of thing you might expect to find from here. Others like Why I’m A Collectivist are more atypical. I’m going to ask readers not to go over there and comment on that one since it’s a few months old and you’ll probably just irritate him.

Oh! Well, yet another cretinous ideologue of sorts, because for any ideology the two most important questions are:
- What are the boundaries of “the group”.
- Are they crisp or fuzzy (i.e. degrees of belonging)
They are NEVER vetted, all discussions are about the good/bad perspective while ignoring the what/whom qualifications.
Another well motivated idiot is Michael Nielsen, in his own words he is “awesome”, unfortunately such “dopamine junkies” are the ones setting the trends (or rather, the fads…)
An interesting post at ribbonfarm about extroversion vs introversion seem relevant to this point of trend setting/trend maturation.

Oookay. I realize it’s usually not a good idea to form conclusions about a person based solely on a brief sentence or two. Bright, reasonable people sometimes say stupid things, and dumb people are sometimes insightful.
But the above quote seems sufficient reason to put Mr. Kulisz’s ideas in the discard pile.

Richard is intelligent but insanely unstable. Interact at your own risk.

He links to Googles April fools joke and says “Google seriously thinks this photo will help sell this piece of crapware. “more efficient and intuitive” my ass!”
From the context of the article it seems like he is being serious, unfortunately.

I’m stunned none of his commenters said anything about it either.

A fucking opinionated programmer, to use his own idiom. Why do people on the left swear so fucking much?
